Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!
Carla
hi to everybody
There are so many things that need to be done when you're a writer that have little to do with the actual act of writing a story. There are line edits to take care of and galleys to read, and a growing need for an author to have a web presence. I've been woefully lacking in the last area.
I spend almost all my time working on a manuscript in progress and realize the time has come for me to do a bit more publicity, but it's so daunting!
I've decided that what I'm going to do is spend my day time hours doing the creative writing, then evenings will be devoted to editing and my feeble attempts at publicity. Hopefully this will allow me to be more productive in all the areas I need to be.
I'm hoping this isn't like my usual New Year resolutions that fire me up for a week or two, then flame out and die. I'm open to any ideas about how to better promote myself and my books.
Anyway, that's my thoughts for today. I'm working on the first book of a new series for Silhouette Romantic Suspense - about a family of lawmen in the small town of Black Rock, Kansas. It's always exciting to begin a series and get to build a town and a family.
I'm also excited because I got my first review on my April Signet romantic suspense from ErrantDreams. The book, Last Gasp got a terrific review and now I can't want to hear from readers! Hurry up, April!
Thanks for stopping by,
Carla
