Carla : Kara, even when there's few groceries in the house that just means I have to be more creative. Although I must confess Frank and I have started to get into the habit of eating out lunch on Fridays. I love it. I told him I could get used to it oh, about seven days a week!

Fear of Failure

Everytime I start a new project I have a picture in my mind of how it's supposed to write and the fear that I'm going to screw it up and not get it right.

In my mind the story is so rich and so full.  I do most of my work in my head as if putting it to paper in some form of outline or pre-writing will dilute it.  But, working this way puts additional pressure on me to get it right, to put words to the images that are in my head.

God, I love this work.  I love the stress, the pressure, the need to create.  I love the fact that I rarely dream and I think it's because my head is too full of my stories to have any other night images.

I love the fact that I have stories in every genre I want to write before I die, that there aren't enough hours in the day for me to accomplish everything I want to.  I'm never bored and I love that, too!
