Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!
Carla
hi to everybody
Life has been crazy around here the last week and a half. It started with a Superbowl party last Sunday. My husband invited all his friends from work. It always amuses me how my hubby throws a party. He invites everyone he's ever met in his life, then leaves the rest to me. Actually, I'm not being fair, he did get the basement ready for the gang and tried to be as helpful as possible. But, sometimes the best help he can give me is to go away!
Anyway, I made enough chili to feed a hundred homeless people and the party went off without a hitch. We don't do a lot of parties and socializing here at the house and when we do I always vow that we'll do it more often.
In business news, I'm going to do an online serial for eHarlequin! It should be lots of fun and hopefully will introduce readers to the new continuity series that I'm kicking off in May.
Then more life intruded. My daughter had a seizure in the pharmacy when we were picking up meds. She'd been really sick with a head and chest cold and had been on prednisone, which can make a person crazy! Her roommate got sick as well and yesterday my daughter took her roommate to the ER because she was having problems breathing and while they were tending to the roommate, my daughter had another seizure.
A nurse called me from the hospital and I drove down and spent the next five hours running from one room to the other, playing mommy to both of them. The roommate ended up being admitted and my daughter, Darlene came home with me.
My goal for the next week is to try to get these two well and finish the Intrigue I've been working on. My characters never get sick!
23 more days until Every Move You Make hits the stands. I can't wait to see what my readers think of this one. I loved it when I wrote it!
That's it from me for now. Hopefully I can have a little less real life and a little more writing life over the next couple of weeks. I've got tons of deadlines to meet and unless I figure out a way to write in my sleep or do without sleep altogether, I've got my work cut out for me!
Take care and thanks for stopping!
