Laura: Your editor IS reading this! 300 pages in 3 weeks? And a Harlequin hard on its heels... well, if you need more time from me, just ask (it's a September 08 release--I'm pretty sure I can give you an extra couple of weeks if you need them!). Now QUIT SMOKING! xo,LC (PS--I'm thrilled that Paint it Red is in Walmart already! That's great news.)
Sandy: Hi Carla,Great news about starting out the continuity series. Also, wonderful news about Paint It Red. Willie's doing a wonderful job on your website. It's even better than the last time looked at it. You go girl. You deserve all this good stuff.
carla: Thanks guys, I'm really excited about finally having a web site! Now if I can just figure out a way to get people to stop by!
Bob: Great new web site, Carla. Also congrats on the continuity deal and the bookclub feature.

medicine: good article!
Sandy: I love your website, Carla. Willie did a great job.
Carla : Kara, even when there's few groceries in the house that just means I have to be more creative. Although I must confess Frank and I have started to get into the habit of eating out lunch on Fridays. I love it. I told him I could get used to it oh, about seven days a week!
Kara: We eat out because we never have groceries in the house, especially when I'm on a deadline (like now!)
Carla: Kara!Kara is one of my good writing buddies and she helped me figure out part of this! Thanks Kara, and thanks for stopping by. I love reading your blog!Hopefully I can be as entertaining as you...although we don't eat out as much as you and Rob do. Heck....we NEVER eat out!
Kara: Hi, Carla! And hi, Sulome! You must get around 'cause you've been to my blog recently, too!
Carla: Sulome',Hey. my very first visitor! Thanks for stopping by. I think this is going to be fun.
Sulome': Hi Carla, Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! Looking forward to reading more from you. Kindest Regards, Sulome'

Life Crazies

Life has been  crazy around here the last week and a half.  It started with a Superbowl party last Sunday.  My husband invited all his friends from work.  It always amuses me how my hubby throws a party.  He invites everyone he's ever met in his life, then leaves the rest to me.  Actually, I'm not being fair, he did get the basement ready for the gang and tried to be as helpful as possible.  But, sometimes the best help he can give me is to go away!

Anyway, I made enough chili to feed a hundred homeless people and the party went off without a hitch.  We don't do a lot of parties and socializing here at the house and when we do I always vow that we'll do it more often.

In business news, I'm going to do an online serial for eHarlequin!  It should be lots of fun and hopefully will introduce readers to the new continuity series that I'm kicking off in May.

Then more life intruded.  My daughter had a seizure in the pharmacy when we were picking up meds.  She'd been really sick with a head and chest cold and had been on prednisone, which can make a person crazy!  Her roommate got sick as well and yesterday my daughter took her roommate to the ER because she was having problems breathing and while they were tending to the roommate, my daughter had another seizure.

A nurse called me from the hospital and I drove down and spent the next five hours running from one room to the other, playing mommy to both of them.  The roommate ended up being admitted and my daughter, Darlene came home with me.

My goal for the next week is to try to get these two well and finish the Intrigue I've been working on.  My characters never get sick!

23 more days until Every Move You Make hits the stands.  I can't wait to see what my readers think of this one.  I loved it when I wrote it!

That's it from me for now.  Hopefully I can have a little less real life and a little more writing life over the next couple of weeks.  I've got tons of deadlines to meet and unless I figure out a way to write in my sleep or do without sleep altogether, I've got my work cut out for me!

Take care and thanks for stopping!

Carla
