So, Frank and I were invited to a halloween party for tonight.  It sounded like it was going to be tons of fun, a haunted hayride, a barn full of booze and good times.  The theme was hair, so I'd bought a punk rocker wig in black and red and an huge curly black wig for hubby and we were set to go.  But, we woke up to torrential rains and it rained all day long.  We decided to stay home.  So, Frank is already in bed and I've spent much of the day working on a synopsis.

I stink at synopses.  I freely admit it.  Most of the problem is that editors tend to want to know what happens in a book and I'm never sure what happens until I get there.  I can tell them characters and emotional growth, but I have a problem when it comes to real plot points.   Sigh.  So, I have this great idea and I know the book is gonna be solid but I just can't explain it easily.  And that sucks!  So, I'll work it to death and hope for the best.

My goal is to get three proposals out over the next week.  I'm not sure if it's really do-able or not, but I'm going to give it a try.  Starting November 1st I'm going to be working part time (seasonal work) in a lamp shop owned by a friend.  I did it last year and really enjoyed getting out among people.  The good part is if nobody is in the store I can write.

So, I'm spend the rest of the month trying to get my ducks in a row.  And now, back to the darned synopsis!
