Carla : Kara, even when there's few groceries in the house that just means I have to be more creative. Although I must confess Frank and I have started to get into the habit of eating out lunch on Fridays. I love it. I told him I could get used to it oh, about seven days a week!
Kara: We eat out because we never have groceries in the house, especially when I'm on a deadline (like now!)

Birthdays and stuff

Today is my birthday and the first thing I did was mail my completed manuscript for the Harlequin continuity, then I took the day off and spent it with my hubby. 

I've had my nose to the grindstone for the last couple of months and was really looking forward to a day away from the computer, but by three this afternoon I was suddenly eager to get home and get back to work.  So much for time off.  This writing thing is so addictive. Now I'm hoping to take the next week or so and get out some proposals.

My birthday cake today was a package of Hostess cupcakes and they were yummy!  Hey, a girls got to do what a girls got to do to get cake and I wasn't about to bake my own!

Anyway, so much for life in the fast lane. 

I promise to check in here more frequently now that the killer deadlines are behind me for a little while, although I can't promise that my conversation will be any more intelligent!
