My server has been wonky all day today as we are just coming out of an ice storm event.  We were luckier than those poor people in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, but it doesn't take much ice to create problems.   Besides my server being down for most the day I love a big limb off my cedar tree in my front yard.  I have no idea what kind of cedar tree it is, but over three stories high and has plenty of character.  I bought the house because of the tree and each time it loses a branch or a limb I shed a baby tear.

I'm definitely a tree person.  The arid southwest with its red clay and cactus speaks to my husband's soul, but lush big trees and woods speak to mine.

I was in the doctor's office yesterday and read an article about happiness.  I've always believed that happiness is a state of being you choose.  One of the things the article said about happiness is that it's good to keep a blessings journal.  Each day or night you write three things that you're grateful for.  Sounds like a good practice to me, but then I've always been an optimist.

So, tonight my three things I'm grateful for are the fact that after thirty-three years of marriage I'm still madly in love with my husband.  My parents think I'm a special princess and my daughter still isn't too old to give me terrific kisses.
