Carla : Kara, even when there's few groceries in the house that just means I have to be more creative. Although I must confess Frank and I have started to get into the habit of eating out lunch on Fridays. I love it. I told him I could get used to it oh, about seven days a week!
Kara: We eat out because we never have groceries in the house, especially when I'm on a deadline (like now!)

Back To The Real World

Happy Holidays to everyone!

I must confess I've been something of a grinch this year.  I spent Christmas day taking down all the decorations and putting my house back to its normal state.  For some reason I was more than ready to kick the holiday to the curb and get back to life as usual. 

Christmas Eve morning I had the whole family here for breakfast.  It was a big crowd and lots of fun.  After the extended family left my kids and their children opened presents.  It was over too quickly and all the festivities were over by Christmas morning. 

I find as I get older that there's a bittersweet quality to Christmas.  It becomes a time of reflection, of remembering people who aren't here anymore to open gifts and of children who are now adults.   I hate reflection.  I must prefer being shallow.  It's so much easier! <G>

Anyway, one of my resolutions is to post here more frequently, although I'm not sure how much of my mundane life you all can handle! 

Happy New Year to you all and thank you for all your support.  It means a lot to me.
