As writer friend Elizabeth Sinclair pointed ut, my blog has no focus.  Duh!  I could have told everyone that!  So, today the lack of focus continues.

Today was my husband's birthday and we went out for a wonderful meal at one of our favorite Italian places.  My husband came from one of those families where meal time was used to eat, not talk.  On the other hand I was raised in a family where meal time was the place to connect with one another and chat.   After almost thirty-four years of marriage, I think I've finally trained him to look me in the eye, smile and open his mouth for something other than shoving in some morsel of food. 

We talked about all the things we'd like to do and can't afford and all the things we can afford and don't want to do.  All in all it was a pleasant break from the work.

Yesterday was my writing chapter meeting and that's always a terrific break.  I've mentioned before that I love the members of my chapter and we do a lot of laughing at the meetings. 

And now, the week begins with me going back into the hole that is my office and focusing on nothing but my writing.  I have three books to write and all of them are calling to me. (there's that focus problem again!) 

An tonight is several of my favorite disgusting reality shows so life is good!
